Fire in the hole Students from Pinedale Elementary school watch demonstrations on fire starting and shooting a black powder rifle.

Each spring, members of the American Mountain Men Association (AMM) come to Pinedale for three days of living history demonstrations at the Museum of the Mountain Man. School children from around western Wyoming come to hear their talks and see the demonstrations of what life was like for the fur trappers who lived and worked in the area in the early 1800s fur trade era of the Rocky Mountains. Living History Days demonstrations are from 9AM to around 1PM Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, May 10-12 at the Museum. Public welcome to attend.
