Tuesday
‘UW
in Your Community’ Opportunity for members of the community
to find out more about the University of Wyoming’s presence
in Sublette County, and for UW alumni to connect with their
alma mater. Tuesday from 5-7PM in the Lovatt Room of the Sublette
County Library. Free appetizers will be served, and a cash
bar will be available. In attendance will be UW President Ed
Seidel. Other speakers will be a member of Professor Kevin
Monteith’s research team will provide an update on the
recovery of the Wyoming Range mule deer herd following the
devastating winter of 2022-23; and Associate Professor Anna
Chalfoun, the assistant leader of the Wyoming Cooperative Fish
and Wildlife Research Unit, will discuss her research regarding
songbirds in sagebrush habitats of the Green River Basin. Also
scheduled to speak are current UW students from Sublette County
-- Pinedale High School graduates Kelsey Cooper, Jacie Friel
and Thomas Murdock, and Big Piney High School graduates Abby
Reed and Xavia Sambrano.

fence removal project Jackson
Hole Wildlife Foundation is hosting a volunteer fence
removal project
near Fremont Lake on Saturday, Sept 20 at 9:30 am.
Removing this fence will open up habitat/migration
corridor for mule deer and remove barbed wire hazard

CCC Ponds Volunteers needed. From 9AM to 2PM, Fremont Lake. Hosted
by the Pinedale BLM Field Office and USFS Pinedale
Ranger District. Participants will help with brush
clearing along pathways, trail maintenance, painting
and staining, minor facility repairs, wildlife habitat
improvements. Bring hat, sunscreen, gloves, long pants,
sturdy shoes, sunscreen, insect repellant. Sign up
