Friends of PAC gets $7,500 grant
For their Little Wrangler Day Camp
April 10, 2022

Friends of PAC is excited to share the news of a generous $7,500 grant received from the Wyoming Community Foundation to support the Pinedale Aquatic Center’s Little Wrangler Day Camp for the 2022 program. This award was made possible because of the Gayle McMurry Kinnison Endowment Fund at the Wyoming Community Foundation.

PAC’s Little Wrangler Day Camp is the only exclusive full summer, elementary-aged child care service available in Sublette County. Demand for this program continues to rise with 2021 attendance skyrocketing, with over 100 youth attending at least one day of summer camp. This was nearly double the average 55 youth from previous summers. These grant funds, coupled with grant funding from Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), help to keep registration affordable to ensure all have access to summer child care.

New to the 2022 summer is the inclusion of 6th grade students. This has been a popular request in recent years and PAC is excited to be offering the camp for students entering 1st-6th grade.

Little Wrangler Day Camp is an active camp designed to provide a balance of fun summer adventures with enrichment activities. Summer 2022 registration is set to open on Tuesday, April 21 for those needing full summer (40 or more days) care with a special discounted rate. General registration for all other attendees will open April 25. Scholarships are available through Friends of PAC to assist with registration expenses. Thanks to TANF grant funds and generous private donors, scholarships will range from covering 50% up to 100% of camp registration costs. Visit Friends of PAC’s website (www.welovepac.com/scholarships) for more details and to apply for scholarships.

For over 30 years the Wyoming Community Foundation (WYCF) has connected people who care with causes that matter to build a better Wyoming. WYCF has granted more than $100 million to charitable causes while also providing a variety of support to nonprofit agency fund holders. WYCF generous grant award supports Friends of PAC’s mission to ensure supplemental funding and community engagement for ongoing recreational services and facilities in support of the Pinedale Aquatic Center.
