Community Meetings

Sublette County Unified Fire is hosting a series of community public meetings about Community Wildfire Protection Plans (CWPPs). CWPP identifies wildfire hazards in at-risk communities. The plan outlines risk assessment and strategies for reducing those wildfire hazards. Sublette County approved a CWPP in 2011 and 2016. In 2021-2022, the county will be updating its plan. Most Sublette County residents have homes that face direct exposure to wildfire risk. A CWPP helps identify community partners who can collaborate together to reduce the risk.

Timeline for Sublette County’s CWPP Update 2021-2022 Community Risk Assessments for the updated plan began in October 2021. These will be completed on a subdivision level

Community meetings will begin in Spring and Summer 2022.

June 2 – Marbleton/Big Piney (Battalion 2) Battalion 2 Fire Station 6-8pm
