The 2022 Pinedale Winter Carnival will take place Saturday and Sunday, February 12-13th. The event is being coordinated by Main Street Pinedale. A full schedule of events can be found at www.mainstreetpinedale.com/winter-carnival.
Events include Skijoring, the Cardboard Classic Sled Race, the Snow Ball Dance, a kids Snowcross Race.
The event kicks off on Saturday at 9 a.m. with Skijoring at the Pinedale Rodeo Grounds.
Skijoring will be followed by the Cardboard Classic at 2 p.m. at the Burzlander Sledding Hill.
The Snow Ball Dance is from 7 to 10:30 p.m. at the Wind River Brew Pub and will feature the Columbia Jones Band.
A kids Snowcross Race will be held on Sunday after Skijoring at the Pinedale Rodeo Grounds.
Snow sculptures can be seen along main street as part of the weekend festivities.
The 2022 Winter Carnival will conclude with an awards ceremony at 6 p.m. at Stockman’s Saloon.
The Pinedale Winter Carnival is Main Street Pinedale’s big fundraiser for the year and is a way to encourage people to get outside in the middle of February to have some fun with their friends and family and to help give downtown businesses a little economic boost.
Main Street Pinedale is a nonprofit organization that works with numerous community members and partners to help pull off this event. The group is made up of an all-volunteer board. The money raised during the Winter Carnival goes directly back into the community in the form of business façade grants, economic development, downtown beautification, and historic preservation.
