Omicron COVID
Reports of omicron COVID variant symptoms appear to be in the mild cold category. The CDC website states that fully vaccinated persons can contract COVID viruses, including Alpha, Delta and Omicron, and also spread it to others, especially the longer time that has passed since being vaccinated. Recent reports coming from the UK and U.S. indicate that the majority of omicron cases have been in fully vaccinated/boosted individuals, suggesting vaccine evasion for this variant.

COVID-19 seems to have pretty well cleared the playing field for the usual seasonal cold and flu viruses and has dominated the scene for the past two years. Cases and deaths from season flu dropped significantly in 2020 and 2021.
