Sharing is Caring Sharing volunteers

During November, the Pinedale Community Food Basket is partnering with Ridley’s Family Markets in their food donation program. When a customer gives a donation to the Ridley’s "Sharing is Caring" program, extra food is purchased and donated to the Food Bank. Within the first two days of the program, thirteen (13) grocery carts overflowing with food were delivered to the Food Bank.

Volunteers were mobilized to prepare and stock the food donations for the monthly distribution on Nov. 11. Per Pinedale Community Food Basket manager, Kari Bousman, "We’re so thankful for the generosity of our neighbors and friends who want to help others."

Each month, the Pinedale Community Food Basket conducts a food distribution of fresh meat, fruit, vegetable, and dairy products along with packaged staples. Anyone wanting to participate needs to complete a simple form verifying residency and income. For more information, contact Kari Bousman at (307) 231-4640 or go by the Food Basket at 221 E. Magnolia Street, (beside the Thrift Store) during regularly scheduled food distribution times.
