Museum of the Mountain Man Gift Shop Memories of Kendall Valley Reprinted by the Sublette County Historical Society.

Even though the Museum is closed for the winter season, visitors can call during regular business hours and make an appointment to tour the inside and visit the gift shop. They also have an online store on their website with many items from the gift shop. We took a little time to look through the gift shop and took some pictures to showcase some of the things that caught our eye. Not all of these items are available through their website. Many are one-of-a-kind items, so if you see something in a picture and you’re interested in it, you should contact the Museum right away and ask about it.

We want to point out a couple of items that people have asked about. The Museum gift shop has copies of ‘The Drift: An American Cattle Drive’ video ($19.95). They also just had a reprinting done of one of their popular local books, "Memories of Kendall Valley" by Richard Hecox. The reprint is in paperback ($15.00). The hardback version of this book sold out about a year ago. Occasionally copies can be found in the used market online, but can be as much as $100. The Museum also has some hand-made mountain man wool capotes ($350). Lastly they do have some elk ivory jewelry (made out of elk teeth), and authentic historic trade beads.
