Free Avalanche Awareness Clinic January 11

Tip Top Search & Rescue will be hosting a free Avalanche Awareness Clinic on Saturday, January 11, 2020. The classroom part will be from 8am to about noon at the Pinedale Search & Rescue building, 138 N. Bridger Avenue. All ages are welcome, but kids 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
After the classroom session there will be practice in the field. Come prepared for being outside. You should have transportation to the White Pine area or carpool. Bring your personal safety equipment. There will be plenty of time to share and use. No snowmachines are needed. Participants will see demonstrations on Self-Rescue and Buddy Rescue techniques, hands-on training with beacons, tips for better shoveling, and proper probing.
There will be a drawing for a BCA TS avalanche rescue package before heading out for the field work.
