It didn't take too long for most of last weekend's snow to melt. The National Weather Service advises that still more wintery weather is on the way.
A much colder arctic air mass will impact the area Friday and Saturday. This arctic front will plunge south across Wyoming Friday morning and afternoon spreading snow, windy conditions with blowing and drifting snow, and wind chills in the single digits. Sub-zero temperatures expected in the higher elevations of the northern mountains Friday with wind chill temperatures from 15 to 25 below zero. Slight chance of snow everyday of the weekend. Heavier snow amounts are expected east of the Continental Divide over the weekend. Hunters should be prepared for snow and cold temperatures.
