2009 Wyoming Wildlife photo contest deadline Nov. 16
by Wyoming Game & Fish
October 5, 2009
Photographers are reminded that less than two months remain to submit entries for the annual Wyoming Wildlife photo contest.
The contest deadline this year is Nov. 16, a change from the Dec. 1 deadline of previous years. To be eligible, all photos must have been taken in Wyoming. Photographers can compete in several categories including Wildlife, Scenic-Pictorial, Recreational Activities and Flora. Entries for all categories except flora will have both color and black-and-white divisions. Flora entries must be color.
The grand prize winner receives $300. First place in each category wins $150, second $100 and third $50. Winning entries will be featured in the February 2010 issue and noteworthy entries may also be selected for the April essay issue.
Entries must be either 8-by-10-inch color or black-and-white prints or 35 millimeter or larger transparencies. Digital images must also be submitted in 8-by-10-inch format. Wyoming Wildlife requires that editing of digital images be limited to the kinds of manipulation that can be done with traditional printing techniques. Images in which content has been altered (elements added, eliminated, rearranged, etc.) will not be accepted.
Entry forms and contest rules are available in current issues of Wyoming Wildlife and are on the Game and Fish Web site http://gf.state.wy.us.
Wyoming Wildlife is available on newsstands or by subscribing at (800)710-8345 for $12.95 for a year.
