Garage Bays
Garage Area
Heated garage area has six drive-through bays. The shop is designed with oils and fluid drops to al the bays and safe disposal of fluids and exhausts.

Lights are motion sensor activated. The shop area has a sweep light that turns the lights off if no one is using it.

Tanks are set up with pipes to feed over to the bay service areas. Used oil drain pans can be hooked up to a pump to drain them into a disposal tank.

Future Sand Storage
Future plans include hopefully building a covered sand storage area south of the main building to provide a place where sand can be stored without getting wet and freezing. Right now sand piles are out in the open.

The new town shop has been built near the sewer lagoons.

The animal control section is on the south end of the building.

Outside Kennel area
Dogs have access to inside and outside areas. They can be let outside into a larger fenced in area to get more exercise.

Cat Quarantine Cages
There is a special room with cages for cat quarantine and animals that need special medical attention.

Water faucets are located in each room to allow washing and prevent cross contamination.

Bark Collar
Bark collars are sometimes used to deter barking dogs. They deliver a mild electric shock when the dog barks. It is effective and does not in any way harm the dog.

Work area
The work area has plenty of cupboards for storage, a washer and dryer to launder animal bedding, an examination table, and wash area. The room has fiberglass washdown walls for easy cleaning.

Emergency Shower
If Julie gets sprayed by a skunk, she can douse herself with a chemical that kills the smell on her clothes. A power sprayer is located at this station also to spray the concrete floor in the kennel room.

Animal Traps
Animal Control has various size traps for small and larger animals, and also birds. Traps can be borrowed for up to five days at no charge. If it isn't returned, the borrower is billed for the cost of the trap.

Viscious Animal Cage
This cage is in a separate dog quarantine room and is designed to hold viscious animals. It can also hold large birds that sometimes come in.

Bird Room
There is another room with cages for birds that sometimes come to the shelter with injuries. They have had owls, hawks, eagles and songbirds that need attention.
