Record high temps continue in Wyoming

As Wyoming swelters through the fourth consecutive day of summer heat, records were set in Lander, Riverton, Worland and Rock Springs on Tuesday.
Worland had a record high of 104; Riverton hit 102, breaking their earlier record of 101; Lander hit 100; and Rock Springs hit 94.
Temperatures in Sublette County were in the high 80s and low 90s yesterday, plenty hot for the locals who start complaining of melting when temps hit the 80s.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop across southern Wyoming Wednesday with a line of storms expected from Big Piney to Pinedale and Lander to Casper.
Chance of thunderstorms will continue for the afternoons and evenings through the rest of the week. Strong wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible, along with brief heavy rain and dangerous lightning. Daytime temperatures are expected to remain in the 80s through the weekend. Nighttime temperatures should be in the 40s
