Tired of winter and ready to get out and start doing things again? Spring is here and the pace is picking up. There are many activities and events scheduled for mid-May. Here is what is on tap for the week of May 14-21.

May 14: Multiple Sclerosis Quilt Show Big Piney High School Annex. 4 pm. Entry forms and rules available by calling Lynda Houfek, 307-276-5318. Fundraiser proceeds to go to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. There will also be a silent auction and quilts for sale. Big Piney High School Annex, 650 Piney Drive, 10 am to 4 pm.
May 14-June 5: Pinedale Pool Closed for annual maintenance. On the web: Pool Schedule
May 15: Peterson Piano Studio Spring Recital Sublette Center Heritage Room, 4 pm.
May 16: Recorder/Crash Band/Art Show at Pinedale Elementary School 6:30 pm
May 17: Pinedale High School Student Council Business Appreciation Lunch Park next to Chamber Hut, noon to 1 pm.
May 17: Big Piney Middle & High School Festival Choir Concert Big Piney Fine Arts Auditorium, 7 pm.
May 17: Wool Growers Association of Sublette County meeting Extension Office in Pinedale, 7 pm. All persons who raise sheep, llama and alpaca, or are just interested in sheep, are invited. Call Joe Sampson for more information 367-6888.
May 17: Senior Survival Workshop Free information seminar. Bruce Eaton, President of Leave A Legacy Planning, will discuss specific tax reduction techniques. No charge or obligation. 1:30 pm -3:30 pm, Sublette County Library in Pinedale.
May 17-19: American Mountain Men Living History Days At the Museum of the Mountain Man. The public is invited to attend the American Mountain Men Living History Camp. 10 am - 3 pm.
May 18 Weather Spotter training class Sublette County Sheriff's Office. Sponsored by NOAA National Weather Service. 1 pm.
May 19: FFA Annual Awards Banquet & Dinner 6 pm. New offices given and year in review. Open House and Dinner on May 26th at 5 pm. Reverse drawing for the 4-wheeler and multple prizes. Officer Auction at 6 pm, buy an officer for a day's work! 4-wheeler tickets are available at the Pinedale High School Ag room before the 26th - only 275 tickets sold at $25 each.
May 21: Wind River Archers club meeting Meeting upstairs at the Sublette County Ice Arena in PInedale.
May 21: Sublette County Little League Baseball Jamboree Pinedale Baseball Fields. Games start at 8 am and continue all day. Concessions available. Rummage sale of used equipment. May 21: 2nd Annual Home and Garden Show Sponsored by the Pinedale Sage and Snow Garden Club. Sublette County Ice Arena, 9 am - 4 pm. Contact DeAnn at 307-367-6705 or Cindy 307-367-2582 for more information and booths. Applications will be sent to those who participated last year. Garden Club meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at noon in the Board Room of the Sublette County Library in Pinedale. Bring your lunch, dessert provided.
