St. Johnís eases visitor restrictions

St. Johnís hospital in Jackson, Wyoming has lifted some of the visitor restrictions that were put in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Patients may now have one visitor per day. Youth patients can have both guardians.

Teton County has moved into Low Risk Level for COVID-19. With a population of about 23,500 people, the county has had 3,273 lab-confirmed cases and 9 deaths over the past year due to COVID-19. The vast majority of their cases have been in the 19-29 age group. The county has been extremely cautious in dealing with COVID-19 restrictions in order to keep the community safe and protect their health care workers and the local hospitalís ability to handle the patient caseload. On February 21st, the hospital announced their COVID-19 patient caseload had fallen to zero for the first time since the pandemic began in 2020.

The new visitor guidelines require the following:
- Visitors must be age 18 or over and in good health
- Proper masks are required at all times; no buffs or bandanas
- Visitor hours apply
- Covid patients may not have visitors
- Additional restrictions apply in Living Center and Cancer Care
