Carson Stinson receives prestigious award

The Pinedale Hockey Association (PHA) held its annual potluck barbeque May 1 to celebrate to the end of another successful hockey season, and recognize individuals and teams for outstanding achievements.
PHA is proud to announce that Carson Stinson, fourth year Midget, has been awarded the Hobey Baker High School Character Award for 2018. Carson was nominated by his coaches Sam White and Jeff Anderson.
The Hobey Baker High School Character Award was established in 2003 to honor high school hockey players who exemplify the ideal that "Character Builds Excellence", makes the game better, and makes players better. Candidates for a High School Hobey Baker Award are selected based on the following criteria: Coach-ability, strength of character, integrity, commitment, teamwork, community leadership, and outstanding sportsmanship.
The following high school players were awarded Varsity Letters; Leo Allison, Bodhi Cunningham, Jayden Currah, Kaden Irey, Hannah Mivshek, John Mitchell, Kendall Palmer, Heith Riley, Zain Roberts, Kellen Schupp, Carson Stinson, Jake Sundgren, Colby White, Sammy White, and Preston Williams.
The Peewee team was also recognized for their Wyoming Amateur Hockey League State Championship title.
New PHA Board of Directors members were announced; Andy Currah (returning), Kevin Mitchell, Dawn Mitchell, and Rusti Christensen.
