October 23, 2017
The Museum of the Mountain Man in Pinedale will be closing for the season Oct. 31st. They are offering a last chance special for any who haven't had a chance to come up to see the museum this year. The museum is offering $2 off admission and a sneak peek at their new exhibit that will be displayed for next year.
The new exhibit is Dramatic Moments: Frederic Remington's Early Engravings, 1882-1993. This exhibit presents an outstanding collection of vintage Harper's Weekly engravings by Frederic Remington. These are the images which launched Remington's illustration career and which provided the platform from which he evolved into one of the West's most famous fine art painters.
The museum is open daily through October from 9AM to 5PM. Normal admission is $10 for adults (13 years and up), $8 for Senior Citizens, and children 0-12 years old free. The Museum will be closed over the winter for exhibit changes and will reopen for the summer on May 1st.
