Glaciers Dominate the Ice

PINEDALE, WYOMING - The Pinedale Glaciers enjoyed victories and challenges this past weekend as the Sublette County Ice Arena hosted three teams from Douglas and Laramie.
The Midgets, high school age division, played their first games of the season and were closely matched by their opponent the Laramie Outlaws. The resulting scores were a 5-3 win Saturday night and a tough 3-4 loss on Sunday. Laramie had previously won two games against Casper before facing Pinedale.
Head Coach Sam White said he was pleased with how the team played in their first games of the season. "We definitely have some aspects of the game we need to work on and improve. Iím looking forward to seeing this team compete at their full potential."
The Bantams, 14 and under division, saw success in both of their matches against the Douglas Ice Cats with a 16-5 victory Saturday and Sunday 13-1. This marks their third and fourth wins having defeated the Gillette Wild twice in November.
The Peewees, 12 and under, are also undefeated with a 5-3 victory Saturday and 8-2 Sunday against the Douglas Ice Cats. The Peewees defeated the Park County Ice Cats in games last month.
Sublette County Ice Arena will again come alive with Pinedale Hockey on December 10 and 11 as the Bantams face off against the Jackson Moose at 3:00 pm Saturday followed by the Midgets taking on the Park County Ice Cats at 7:00 pm and again on Sunday at 9:00 am.

The Pinedale Hockey Association (PHA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the growth of ice hockey at all age levels and abilities.
