The Green River Valley Land Trust, your local community land trust, is celebrating 15 years of land conservation in Sublette County and it wonít be a party without you! Weíre going back to our roots with a family friendly potluck, kidsí activities and tunes by Pinedaleís own Jared Rogerson. (Jared Rogersonís performance is supported in part by a grant from the Wyoming Arts Council, through funding from the Wyoming State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.) Admission is by "dish or donation" and RSVPís are required to make sure we have enough chairs! So mark your calendar for Saturday, August 22nd, noon Ė 3pm and gather the ingredients for your favorite side dish. We look forward to catching up with friends, old and new, at the beautiful Double J Ranch in Daniel.
The Green River Valley Land Trustís mission is "to assist landowning families of Sublette County in the conservation of agricultural and ranch and natural lands, to protect open spaces, watersheds, wildlife habitat and other ecological values for the benefit of todayís inhabitants and as a legacy for future generations." The Trust currently holds 57 easements, conserving 31,935 acres.
