Friday, March 28, 9:30AM report: 28 degrees, slight breeze. 4-6 inches of fresh snow this morning – snowing now. Looks like clouds might be breaking up a bit. All trails above freshly groomed. The trail closure to the new loop trail section where Kelly tie In trail meets Kelly Park if still in effect due to a couple of moose in there – this is the section of trail that had the closure a few weeks ago due to the calf moose stuck in there. The closure is for safety for skiers and to give the moose a chance to rest from the deep snow and find their way out on their own – the trail is blocked on both ends with orange stake markings and signs. If you encounter wildlife on the trail during your outings, please turn around and go a different direction and use a different trail so you don’t disturb them. The road is plowed – it is snow-packed with ice and slush on it. No grooming tomorrow.
