Government employees head back to work

For the past 16 days, 17% of the federal government workforce was told to stay home because they were designated "nonessential employees," meaning the government could still provide essential services without them.

Many news media insisted on hyping it as a "government shutdown", but in reality about 83% of the workforce (3.3 million employees) was still functioning and all essential services were still pretty much fully operational. The politicians made sure those 800,000+ furloughed employees knew they would be getting their paycheck at the end of it all, essentially giving them a two-week-plus paid vacation at taxpayer expense.

After the vote last night, all federal employees now go back to their jobs and the country will now be funded through January 15, and the debt cushion has been extended through February 7, at which point the political games begin again.

So how did Wyoming legislators vote last night?
Senator Mike Enzi and Congressman Cynthia Lummis voted No.
Senator John Barrasso votes Yes.
