Pinedale competes at Wyoming Southwest District Music Festival

The Pinedale High School Concert Choir and Jazz Choir traveled to Lyman April 18th and 19th to participate in the annual Southwest Wyoming District Music Festival. While there, concert choir, jazz choir, small ensembles and numerous soloists performed before judges.
The Pinedale Choir did very well with the 34 voice Concert Choir receiving a I (superior) rating and an II (excellent) rating from their judges. Judges for the concert choir were Delores Howell and Thayne Yennie. Their clinic was headed up by Mr.Yennie. The Jazz Choir also received two II (excellent) ratings and were judged by the same two judges with Delores Howell doing their clinic.
Pinedale vocal had 8 soloists and 4 ensembles performing on Friday. Hattie McKay, Christina Kostelc and BayleeBuchanan received a I (superior) rating on their vocal solos. Vocal soloists receiving II (excellent) ratings were Jordyn Baker, Hana Patterson, Rozel Santos, Maeve Poulson, and Shaina Moeller. The vocal ensembles also did very well with the duet of Abi Moller and Brenna Stone receiving a I (superior) rating. The vocal trio consisting of Hattie McKay, Jordyn Baker and Abi Moller received a II+ (excellent) rating. The vocal duet of Elise Liles and Olivia Liles received a II (excellent) rating and Hattie McKay and Hana Patterson received a II+ (excellent) rating for their duet. The vocal accompanists were Julie Huntley, Coralee Petersen and Chris Cramer.

Come out and listen to these young musicians perform in their last concert of the year Tuesday May 7th. Sixth Grade through 12th Grade Choirs will be performing along with the Jazz Choir and solos/ensembles that performed at Festival. The concert begins at 7 PM in the Pinedale High School Auditorium.
