The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) will close US 191 in Hoback Canyon (around Mile Post 156.5 and 157, Stinking Springs area-north end of the canyon) for avalanche control blasting today (Wednesday, January 30th) at 12:30PM. They expect the closure would be no more than an hour, depending on how much if any snow comes down. Road conditions in the canyon are black ice, slick with snowfall and blowing snow. Teton Pass will be closed Thursday morning at 3:00AM for avalanche control. For road updates, call 5-1-1 or go to www.wyoroad.info.
