On May 5, the Wind River Riders will be holding their 12th annual open horse show, in the Ag Center at the Sublette County Fair Grounds.
This event features over 45 Classes, with the winner in each class being awarded a custom Montana Silversmith belt buckle, and ribbons to places 2nd through 6th. Students and adults from all over Western Wyoming, Idaho, and Utah have participated in this event.
This show is the first of the Wyoming Bits & Spurs show circuit, consisting of five shows in Western Wyoming, and this will be the 12th year that the Wind River Riders 4-H Club has hosted the show. Other shows will be held in Rock Springs, Green River, and Alpine, but this show is the only show that awards belts buckles for each class. This is only possible because the generous support of many local businesses and individuals.
The show starts at 8:00AM and will last most of the day. There will be Halter classes, Showmanship, English classes, Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Western Riding, Reining, Trail, Barrels, and Poles, for the horse enthusiasts to compete in.

The Judges are coming from Utah and are carded AQHA judges.
The following day, May 7th, the club is hosting a clinic for Trail and Western Riding also held in the Ag Center. AQHA Judge, Marty Simper from Ogden Utah, will be the featured clinician. The clinic is free to Sublette County horse 4-H members and a fee of $150.00 will be charged for any adult wanting to participate, with a $25.00 discount given to those who participated in the show the previous day. This clinic will be packed with great show tips and will be a unique opportunity for anyone who is interested in showing their horses. The clinic will start at 8:00AM and last into the afternoon.
