The Big Piney/Marbleton Volunteer Fire Department held their 3rd annual Demolition Derby on Saturday, July 23rd at the Buss Fear Memorial Rodeo Arena, as part of the Sublette County Fair Events. This was a Jackpot Demolition Derby with $2,000 added money. The top three places paid. New for 2011 was a pickup class, and fully welded class. There was $250 added money for each class, with winner take all.

Between the heat events, while cars were making mechanical repairs, the crowd was entertained with a four-wheeler shovel race, which mimicked the rodeo barrel race concept, with the four-wheeler dragging a person holding on with all their might as they rode through the pattern around the barrels. The person being dragged was dressed in firefighter garb.

In addition, there was a frozen t-shirt contest to see who could break open a frozen t-shirt and put it on the fastest.

This is always a very popular event and draws a big crowd for all the fun and action.

Winners:
1ST- Robert Sorensen out of Big Piney
2nd- Chad Staley out of Daniel
3rd- Dakota Watts out of Green River
