Anderson new Ex Director of Pinedale Resource Council

The Board of Directors of the Pregnancy Resource Center (PRC) is pleased to announce that Melissa Andersen has been selected to fill the position Executive Director of the organization. The founding Executive Director, Heidi Dickerson and her family are relocating to Casper, Wy where she has accepted the position of Executive Director for Children and Nutrition Services, Inc.
In preparation for the May 1st effective date of her promotion, Ms. Andersen has spent the month of April shadowing the position to ensure a seamless transition for both the organization and the clients it serves in Sublette County. Ms. Andersen became an employee of the PRC in May, 2010, and swiftly became an asset to its success. Ms. Andersen brings a wealth of experience and competency in marketing and human resources to the position. "Itís been very rewarding working for the PRC over the past year," said Melissa Andersen, PRC Marketing Director. "I am honored to accept the position."
The PRC is a nonprofit organization that serves Sublette County with resources and support for families during a pregnancy and through the transition to parenting without charge to clients. The PRC began providing these vital services to the communities of Sublette County in March, 2008 with the opening of its main office in Pinedale. In December 2009, a satellite office was opened in the Big Piney/Marbleton community in order to provide greater access to families for residents.
The PRC has served over 300 women, men and children in the three years that is has offered its service to Sublette County. In addition, over 120 pregnancy tests have been provided and 40 newborns have been born to clients. The PRC makes educational classes available to expecting and new parents and to date has provided over 325 classes which attendants can earn vouchers for participation and exchange the vouchers for diapers, cribs, baby clothing and other needed items for their families.
