WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) has been chosen to deliver the Republican response to President Obama’s weekly national address.
Barrasso, the Vice Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, delivered the following statement about his remarks:
"The code of the West says ‘when you make a promise, keep it.’ In Washington, promises don’t seem to mean much these days. This week, I’m honored to talk to the American people about the need for accountability in Washington. Republicans are listening to the American people and committed to leading our country in a new direction."
Barrasso’s address will air nationally on Saturday, October 9th immediately after the President’s address to the nation. Wyoming residents are encouraged to check their local radio stations for specific air times. The radio address will also be available on Senator Barrasso’s website http://barrasso.senate.gov on Saturday.
