‘Raising Readers in Wyoming’ at local libraries Sept 28 & 30

The "Raising Readers in Wyoming" program will be at Sublette County Libraries on Tuesday, September 28th and Thursday, September 30th.
Raising Readers encourages parents to read to their children by supplying new books as part of its well child health care visits and immunization clinics.
Encana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc. recently donated $6,050 to Raising Readers in Wyoming to purchase 1,210 high-quality, age-appropriate children’s books. The books will be distributed to children at health clinics in Pinedale and Big Piney/Marbleton.
There will be two Raising Readers in Wyoming programs through the Sublette County Library, one a Pinedale and the other in Big Piney. The Pinedale program will be on Tuesday, September 28th at 10:00 am. The Big Piney/Marbleton program will be on Thursday, September 30th at 10:30 am.
Pinedale Mayor Steve Smith and Big Piney Mayor Phillip Smith will read to children in their respective town programs.
During the event, Raising Readers Executive Director, Jolene Olson, will address the importance of reading to young children and talk about the program. Encana representatives Chris House (Pinedale) and Jamie Sharp (Big Piney) will talk about Encana’s partnership with Raising Readers. Pinedale Mayor Steve Smith and Big Piney Mayor Phillip Smith will read to children during story time in their respective town programs.
Light refreshments will be served. Everyone welcome to attend.
