Greys River road re-opens after bridge work
by Bridger-Teton National Forest
September 22, 2010
The Greys River Ranger District of the Bridger-Teton National Forest has re-opened the Greys River Road. A portion of the road has been closed since August 2 to allow three bridges in the Upper Greys River area to be replaced.
The bridges, Shot Hole Springs Bridge, Poison Creek Bridge, and East Fork Bridge along the Greys River Road were identified as needing replacement due to the age and condition of the wood crib abutments and decking. The new bridges will result in improved public safety and hydrologic function of the Greys River.
