On Saturday, July 24, Internationally acclaimed martial artist and 2009 Weapons Instructor of the Year, Dai Shihan Ted Tabura, will be in Pinedale for a special presentation at the American Legion Park. This is a presentation by Lim’s Hawaii Kenpo, Pinedale, Wyoming.
Dai Shihan Ted Tabura is a master of Asian weaponry. His nickname, "Sickle Man," given to him by Sijo Emperado, stems from his uncanny ability to wield the kama, which he used frequently in the 1960s and ‘70s to win countless championships. Dai Shihan is just as capable with an arsenal of other weapons and a master of the Lima Lama style martial arts.
9:00AM - Noon: Katana
2:00 – 5:00 PM: Lima Lama (open-handed self defense techniques)
2:00 – 5:00 PM: Women's Self Defense Seminar.
"This Could Not Happen in Pinedale" is the theme they would like to present, to give women of all ages easy to use techniques appropriate for a variety of self-defense situations people might find themselves in whether at home or away. World-renowned instructors will present something everyone should know to keep themselves and their families safe.
Full day cost is $35 before July 19. $40 after July 19.
1/2 day cost is $20 before July 19, $25 after July 19.
