(Pinedale) - "Kids aren’t the only ones learning new skills this September", said Nancy McDaniel, the Children’s Librarian at the Sublette County Library on 155 South Tyler Ave. Lap Sitters, is the new Preschool Story Time being offered on Thursday mornings. From 10—10:20 a.m. parents hold 0-2 year olds in their lap while listening to stories, rhyming games and other activities.
Pinedale’s popular children’s librarian launched this great educational opportunity for parents to learn finger play story telling skills. Retired school teacher, Dee Christensen, is lending a hand so siblings 3-5 can have a separate Story Time in the Board Room.
Miss Nancy enjoys working with all ages. This new format has been in the works for awhile and she is looking forward to concentrating on the "Little Tinies".
Tuesday morning’s ever popular Story Catcher Story Time will remain the same: 10-10:30 am for kids aged 0-5. Reading aloud to children, even from infancy, helps their brains grow and develop and starts them on the path to literacy.
The Sublette County Library Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to the financial support and assistance of the public libraries of Sublette County, Wyoming. It provides capital improvements, furnishings and programming for the libraries in Pinedale and Big Piney.
