Four wolves killed

Four more wolves have been killed this month in Wyoming in response to depredation problems. All four were killed by USDA Wildlife Services specialist in two separate incidents in Park County.
According to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, on June 17 WGFD personnel confirmed a yearling heifer killed on private property by wolves from the Carter Mountain Pack. WGFD requested assistance from USDA Wildlife Services and two adult wolves were removed on the same afternoon as the depredation.
On June 19 WGFD personnel confirmed a calf killed on private property by wolves from the Absaroka Pack, west of Cody. WGFD requested Wildlife Services to remove two wolves. Control actions were completed the following morning when two adult wolves were killed near the depredation site.
With these control actions, the number of wolves killed in Wyoming since delisting occurred earlier this year is now at 20.
