USDA Wildlife Services confirmed two cattle depredations on a ranch in the Pinedale area. Though the ranch is in the Predatory Animal area, it is close to the boundary of the Trophy Game area. The wolves believed to be responsible for the cattle depredations were crossing back and forth across the boundary. The department authorized USDA Wildlife Services to take three wolves in the Trophy Game area, if necessary. On April 7, USDA Wildlife Services lethally removed four wolves, all in the Predatory Animal area.
