Pinedale Planning & Zoning Informational Workshop Feb. 4

The Town of Pinedale Planning & Zoning Commission will hold an informational workshop to discuss the BloomField subdivision proposal on Monday, February 4, at the Pinedale Town Hall at 5:30 PM. The public is invited to attend. No decisions will be made or voted on at this meeting.
The Town of Pinedale provided this additional clarification of the history on the BloomField Subdivision proposal process:
Traditionally, when there have been no items on the Town of Pinedale’s Planning and Zoning agenda, there has been no meeting. When there has been no agenda items for consideration for Pinedale’s Planning and Zoning Commission, there has not been a reason to advertise. That was the case for tonight’s meeting date, Feb. 4, no meeting was scheduled, as there were no agenda items for the commission to consider.
However, some Pinedale Planning and Zoning Commission members recently were in contact with developer Matt Harber and consequently, they decided to have an informal workshop during the time when the usual Planning and Zoning meeting would be. That is what is taking place tonight, a workshop for informational purposes only, to discuss aspects of the Bloomfield development.
Pinedale’s Planning and Zoning Commission initially reviewed Mr. Harber’s proposal October 1, 2007, more than four months ago, recommending approval of the Bloomfield Annexation Petition. The petition then moved to the Town Council Public hearing process later that month.
The petition by state statute then was advertised for 30 days before the first of three readings took place. Since October there have been several public meetings held in the community besides the three advertised council public hearings that the petition was discussed in.
The Town’s professional planning and engineering staff, reviewed the application for completeness which the planning and zoning commission officially recommended approval for. The town council also found the petition in compliance.
The annexation proposal for the Bloomfield Property, has been read and approved during first and second readings of Ordinance No. 2008 -432, by the Pinedale Town Council. The ordinance is scheduled for its third reading at the Pinedale Town Council meeting, February 11, 2008.
