The Pinedale Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management hosted an Open House on Thursday, January 10. The building is located on the west end of Pinedale, on the north side of US 191, next to the WYDOT building.
Due to inclement weather, the “Meet the Staff-Swearing in Ceremony” part of the day events was postponed and is tentatively rescheduled for March 5th to meet the new Pinedale Field Manager and Law Enforcement Ranger.
Open House guests were given a tour of their new building, which just opened up this spring.
The Pinedale Field Office employs nearly 60 people, with the largest department under Minerals (27 people listed on the BLM Directory), composed of Natral Resource Specialists, Geologists and Petroleum Engineers, Realty and Legal Specialists. The Resources Department has 27 people on staff, including four wildlife biologists, four archaeologists, four rangeland management specialists, one GIS (Graphical Information System) person, one outdoor recreation planner, two liaisons for the Wyoming Game & Fish and US Fish & Wildlife Service, and one resource clerk.
