Snow to return Tuesday-Friday!
Winter to push out the nice warm weather
March 26, 2007

We have been basking in 50-60 degree weather these past few days, with the locals donning t-shirts, tank tops and shorts and making comments that it is starting to get “hot”. This is Wyoming, however, and as usually happens, winter will return several times before spring finally overtakes its grip.

A strong weather system is forecast to impact our area beginning Tuesday afternoon through early Thursday. Expect isolated thunderstorms and gusty winds in southwest Wyoming Monday afternoon into Tuesday. This will be followed by rain and snow showers late Tuesday night through early Thursday. The mountains may get 8-10 inches of snowfall above 9,000 feet. Western valleys could see 3-5 inches. Central Basins may get 2-4 inches of snow out of this system.

As the storm moves east, it has the potential to create hazardous conditions across the eastern portion of the area Wednesday and Thursday in Fremont, Johnson and Natrona Counties. It could severely impact travel along Interstate 80 and 25.
