Teton Homestead Cabin
November 28, 2006

The Teton Range is located north of Pinedale, just south of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, in the Jackson Hole valley. This beautiful, rugged range was an important geographic reference landmark for the mountain men during the Rocky Mountain Fur Trade era of the early 1800s. The Jackson Hole valley and mountains, and our Upper Green River valley, are closely interconnected through history, used as travel corridors by Native American Indians, early white explorers, fur traders and trappers, homesteaders, ranchers, and even rustlers, who worked and lived in western Wyoming. Their stories and legends are part of the flavor of our colorful Wyoming history and heritage.
