Volunteers needed, CCC Ponds in Pinedale

Volunteers are needed to help with the local National Public Lands Day in Pinedale on Saturday, September 9th. The event will be held at the CCC Ponds in Pinedale.
Activities will focus on trail maintenance and construction, including installation of a bridge for a new trail loop. Volunteers will also install bluebird boxes, a bat box, install a new memorial bench, replace signs, pick up litter, etc. All tools and materials will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to bring leather gloves. Lunch and beverages will be provides, thanks to EnCana USA, BP and Ultra Petroleum. All volunteers will receive t-shirts, posters and free passes to access public land fee areas, which include national parks.
Seminars will be offered after lunch on noxious weeds; the “Leave No Trace” program by the Forest Service; Bird identification by Fred Pflughoft; Global position (GPS) navigation.
