Missoula Children's Theatre Returns to Pinedale and is looking for local talent!
An audition will be held for Missoula Children's Theatre production of THE JUNGLE BOOK immediately after school on Monday, October 3rd. Those auditioning should arrive at the Pinedale High School Auditorium no later than 3:30pm, and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a 2 hour rehearsal immediately following the audition.
Among the roles to be cast are Mowgli (the man-cub), his friends Bagheera (the panther) and Akela (the leader of the pack), the entire wolf family, Shere Khan (the tiger) with his side-kick Tabaqui (the jackal), Nag and Nagaina (the cobras), Darzee (the bird), Hathi (the master elephant), Rikki-Tikki-Tavi (the mongoose), Kaa (the rock-python), Buck (a buck) and of course, the Monkey-People.
All District #1 students (grades K-12, including home-schooled students) are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to assist with the technical aspects of the production. Parental permission slips will be distributed in the schools, or may be obtained by calling the PFAC office at 367-7322.
Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. The MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 3:30 pm to approximately 8 pm each day. Rehearsals will be Monday through Friday, every day after school until showtime.
THE JUNGLE BOOK will be presented on Friday, Oct. 7th at 7:30 pm, with a Saturday matinee at 1 pm, Saturday, Oct. 8th.
Both shows are FREE to the public!
