April 15, 2005

The Salt Lake Symphonic Choir will be performing in Pinedale on Friday, April 22, at 7:30 pm at the Pinedale High School Auditorium.

Organized in 1949, the Salt Lake Symphonic Choir has achieved international acclaim. Since 1976, the Choir has been directed by George A. Welch (Pinedale teacher Marianne Mrak's brother). In its more than 50 years of performing, the Choir has toured in excess of 200,000 miles and presented more than 900 concerts throughout the United States, Canada, Russia, and Armenia. Mr. Welch and members of the choir will be working with Gena Anderson's choir students and members of the popular Pinedale vocal group "Sweet Harmony".

This performance is presented by the Pinedale Fine Arts Council, with the help of Sublette BOCES, the Sublette County Recreation Board, Wyoming Arts Council, and VSA arts of Wyoming. Tickets are $12/adults, $9/students, available at the door or in advance at Cowboy Shop, Pony Express Photo, Office Outlets in Pinedale & Big Piney.
