Accident at Cora Y Claims Two Lives on Saturday
Les Wilcox of Pinedale and Earl Peterson from Canada

Pinedale resident Leslie Floyd Wilcox, 69, and Earl Gordon Peterson, 46, of Canada, were killed on Saturday morning, October 13th, in a two vehicle accident at the Cora Y junction of Highway 191 and 352 approximately six miles west of Pinedale. According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Mr. Wilcox was southbound on Highway 352 around 9:45 am when he pulled out into the path of an oncoming truck on Highway 191 causing a collision at the intersection. Mr. Peterson was a passenger in the van with Mr. Wilcox and neither was apparently wearing seatbelts. Both required extrication from the van and were taken to the Pinedale Medical Clinic where they died. The driver of the truck, Brian Andrews, 36, of Rock Springs, was taken to the Pinedale Clinic with minor injuries where he was treated and released.
