Title:Watermaster
Description:Highland Irrigation District is looking for a reliable individual for the position of WATERMASTER, immediately.
Daily work hours are flexible averaging 4-6 hours per day (including weekends) during the irrigation season of May 1 through October 31 each year.

The WATERMASTER is responsible for diverting flow from Fremont Lake into Highland Canal and equitable distribution of flow within the canal system. The system includes 28 miles of canals and laterals and has 70 individual headgates. The WATERMASTER must be in good health and physically capable of using hand tools for minor ditch/diversion repairs and debris removal.

The WATERMASTER must live within a ten-mile radius of Pinedale.
-must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
-must have basic math skills
-must have ability to use the internet and have basic technology skills-must speak and write in English- must have the communication skills to diplomatically communicate with District members

Having ATV/motorcycle transportation for routine inspections of the system is a plus.
The successful applicant will be trained as needed.
Monthly salary will be negotiated based on qualifications and relevant experience.
Expenses will be fully reimbursed.
