Arnie Brokling and I headed out about 12:30 on Sunday, November 1, 2003 en route to Sacred Rim for a photo excursion. The day was perfect--except there was no sun! It was snowing lightly and the two feet (plus) of snow is really quite firm, for this early in the season. We lost the tree blazes about 3/4 of the way to the Rim, and even with backtracking could not pick up the trail. We did make the canyon edge, but not at the correct location. (Don't follow our tracks.)
