Grinnell Argillite Means Red Trails


Geologists say that all the rocks in Glacier are over one-billion years old. Older than me! Grinnell Argillite is a predominant rock formation throughout the park and its eroding qualities contribute bright red scree to valley floors and stream bottoms throughout the park.`
