The Pinedale Community Theatre (PCT) wants to invite all aspiring actors and actresses to audition for the next show the PCT will bring to our community. PCT has received the licensing rights to produce "Blithe Spirit" by Noel Coward as their next appetizer/dessert production on February 18, 19 and 20 (Thursday, Friday and Saturday), 2010. The revival of this 1940s comedy about a husband, his wife and his deceased wife, who appears as a ghost in the play, has just closed on Broadway making the rights available to amateur groups again.

Auditions will be held November 14th, at the Library in the Labyrinth room. Anyone who is interested in auditioning for the 7 roles or would like to work on other aspects of the production including sets, costumes, marketing, ticket sales and serving should call Candy Scott at 367-6228.

Auditions will begin at 10:00 on Saturday, November 14th and last until noon. Those auditioning should plan to attend for the entire two hour session. Call backs will later in the afternoon on Saturday. Rehearsals will start very early in January and will be in the evening. Two copies of the play are available and can be read in the library for anyone who would like to review the script.

Diane Springford, artistic director of the Wyoming Shakespeare Theatre Company will be directing the production. Diane has been coming to Pinedale for 10 years with the summer Shakespeare in the Park productions sponsored by PFAC. "I really enjoy Pinedale and appreciate all the support you have given us through the years, so it is an honor to be asked to director this show. I can’t wait to get started!" was Diane’s comment when she agreed to direct the production.
