Title:Preschool Director
Description:Pinedale Preschool is currently seeking a permanent Early Childhood Director. The Director is responsible for the daily operations at Pinedale Preschool and reports directly to Pinedale Preschool Board of Directors.

Job Description/Duties:
The Director of Pinedale Preschool shall:
1. Manage the school's daily and monthly operations and have primary responsibility for the administration of Pinedale Preschool. Exercise professional judgment and discretion at all times in keeping with the responsibilities carried personally and by Pinedale Preschool for the care and welfare of the students.
2. Remain current on issues and trends in early childhood education.
3. Provide leadership, vision and input to Pinedale Preschool Teachers and Staff for developing new strategies for instruction and early childhood development.
4. Work cooperatively with all staff to manage the academic and summer calendars, including scheduling events and activities; enhance existing school programs and develop new ones.
5. Manage and maintain student enrollment, all student records, and all staff records. Handle confidential information and maintain all school forms, handbooks, and logs.
6. Maintain the school's compliance with all applicable rules and regulations set forth by the Department of Family Services.
7. Maintain the School's property, vehicle, and liability insurance.
8. Perform tasks and responsibilities in a pleasant, complete, and timely manner, complying with Pinedale Preschool's policies and standards. Enforce the policies and procedures of Pinedale Preschool .
9. Manage appropriate budgets and all financial affairs, fund development, and accounting systems for Pinedale Presc1ool, including identifying potential resources
to support budget responsibilities. Seek and apply for appropriate funding and grants for school use.
10. Coordinate the hiring of teachers, Assistants, substitutes, cleaners, bookkeeper and a bus driver and other positions that arise. Provide supervision of staff, providing positive comments and suggestions for improvement. Coordinate staff development days and security training for all staff, cleaners , and bus drivers.
11. Manage and maintain school facilities. equipment, and playground.
12. Manage school advertisement and marketing and effectively market Pinedale Preschool to current and interested parents.
13. Schedule and attend staff meetings and Board meetings.
14. Encourage and provide opportunities for team building and staff collaboration.
15. Ensure Pinedale Preschool provides inclusive, developmentally, and culturally appropriate learning experiences and activities.
16. Ensure an environment that is physically and emotionally safe for children while fostering an atmosphere of positive communication and partnership with parents/guardians.

Required Qualifications:
The Director of Pinedale Preschool shall meet all requirements as outlined by Wyoming Department of Family Services and/or Pinedale Preschool.
1. Be at least twenty-one (21) years old;
2. Shall have received a professional credential from an organization recognized by the Department;
3. Have a minimum of three (3) year full time equivalent experience working with young children in a group under qualified supervision;
4. Have previous supervision and/or project management experience;
5. Have completed at least ten (10) college credit hours in the area of early childhood education, child development, nursing, elementary education, or other child-related field;
6. Have the ability to understand and manage the complexities of a preschool program.
7. Be extremely organized and have excellent communication skills;
8. Have excellent computer experience, telephone skills, and good customer service skills;
9. Have budget management experience;
10. Have the ability to work independently and multi-task with frequent interruptions;
11. Have previously worked with volunteers and parents;
12. Be willing to perform a variety of tasks and remain flexible.

Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the requirements set forth above, a preferred candidate for the Director's position would have a college degree in the area of early childhood education, child development, elementary education or other child-related field and experience as a preschool director.
