SAGE AND SNOW GARDEN CLUB

Beautification of the Town of Pinedale is an ongoing commitment of the Sage and Snow Garden Club.

The Club was organized in 1983 and is affiliated with the State and National garden club organizations. The Club writes newspaper articles and presents educational programs for public enjoyment.

As its primary beautification project, the Garden Club plants flowers in over 100 half whiskey barrels along Pine Street and selected side streets in Pinedale. The Sage and Snow Garden Club plants them around the first weekend in June. Local merchants help with the cost and watering of the barrels.

Look for announcements of all Club events in the local newspapers and on the radio.

ANNUAL CLUB EVENTS

Garden of Beauty Awards: These are given out during July and August. Sublette County recipients (any garden is eligible) get to have the Garden of Beauty sign in their yard along with a picture of their garden in the local newspapers. This award is made to recognize all the hard work that is needed to garden in this area and to thank the gardeners for adding even more beauty to Sublette County. Anyone may nominate a garden for this honor.

Green River Rendezvous Parade: The Garden Club is always in the Rendezvous Parade the second weekend in July.

Sage & Snow Garden Club Tea: Also in the summer, one of the Garden Club members hosts a tea to celebrate another successful growing season and to meet new members of the community.

Best Decorated House Contest: During the Christmas season, the Club hosts a Best Decorated Business contest and a Best Decorated House contest.

Memorial Grove of Trees: The Garden Club maintains a Memorial Grove of Trees in the American Legion Cooley Memorial Park in Pinedale.
