The place you want to get to requires a 4-wheel drive vehicle. You left the paved road 25 miles back. The fastest you can go is 15 miles an hour dodging rocks and bumps in the dusty dirt road. A herd of antelope watches as you amble by. You finally arrive at the rustic log cabin nestled in the pine trees. Haven't seen another soul for 2 hours. It's near dusk. You build a fire in the pot belly wood stove and start up the Coleman lantern. The horses are waiting in the small corral, just as promised. The refrigerator is stocked.

No phones, no fax, no computer. The stars are beginning to appear in the sky as the sun sets over the ridge. Tomorrow the Wrangler will come by to take you on that special horseback trip into the Wilderness...
